Invitation: Talk on Viking activity outside Dublin

On Thursday 23rd of November in National Museum of Ireland Turlough Park, Raghnall O’Floinn will explore the evidence for Viking activity outside the Dublin area in the 9th and 10th centuries, looking at weapons, settlements, place-names and burials.

How extensive is the evidence and what does it tell us about the Viking presence in the Irish countryside?

This is a free event, suitable for adults.  The talk takes place at 8pm.
