Robertstown Vintage Village Fayre takes place this coming Sunday June 19th from 1.15pm
As part of the Kildare Decade of Remembrance Programme we are delighted and honored to have a grandson of Capt Henry (Harry) De Courcy Wheeler attending to talk about his Grandfathers eyewitness account of the Surrenders of the 1916 Leaders. Dr Horace DeCourcy Wheeler will talk of his grandfathers notes and letters of the surrenders and about what life was like here in Robertstown at that time for the family.
Dr Horace’s Cousin, Alex Findlater is kindly sending some signed copies of his book 1916 Surrenders for sale and the proceeds will go towards Robertstown Tidy Towns.
