Message from the President

As the Society continues its annual programme on Saturday next with Michael Potterton’s talk on ‘Town development in Ireland under the Anglo-Normans’, I would like to again, thank the six speakers, those who attended, those who assisted on the day and all who helped in any way in making the Seminar ‘Remembering 1916’ such a wonderful success.  It was truly a most informative day in relation to the events before, during and after 1916 by six excellent speakers.

It was great to meet the large number of people who were attending a County Kildare Archaeological Society event for the first time and the Society looks forward to seeing you all again soon at our various upcoming events.

Hugh Crawford.
