Award details:

Essays for the 2011 prize should be based on original research on any aspect of the history or archaeology of County Kildare or surrounding districts. The essay should be typed on A4 paper, double-spaced and on one side of the page only. It should be in the range 5000-7000 words. The essay should be fully footnoted throughout. Notes should be in a consistent format. In the case of books author, title, place and date of publication together with appropriate page references should be given. For journals author, title of article, title of journal, volume and year of publication should be given together with page references. Titles of books and journals should be in italic or underlined. For manuscripts repository, manuscript number and pages or folios should be given. Illustrations are welcome.

Closing date for the 2011 prize is 30 September 2010
