Reminder: RIA Grants Schemes 2015

Calls for applications and expressions of interest are now invited to the following schemes:

  • RIA Charlemont Grants (formerly RIA Mobility Grants Scheme)

Applications are now being invited for the Academy’s flagship Charlemont Grants Scheme (formerly the RIA Mobility Grants). Named in honour of the Academy’s first President and notable Grand Tourist, James Caulfeild, 1st Earl of Charlemont, this postdoctoral grants scheme supports early career stage researchers, in any discipline, in undertaking short research trips (maximum 6 weeks) to anywhere in the world

  • R. J. Hunter Grants (NEW SCHEME)

Named in honour of the late R.J. (Bob) Hunter, this scheme aims to promote and encourage research into the history of the Ulster Plantation (c.1550s – 1750s) and other cognate areas, including patterns of migration from and to Britain and North America.

 

Research Bursaries – Call for Applications

Applications are now being invited from postgraduate, postdoctoral and independent scholars in both Ireland and the UK for research bursaries to conduct archival visits for the purposes of conducting primary source research

Research Fellowships and Digitisation Grant – Expressions of Interest

Expressions of Interest are also being sought from suitably qualifPreviewied candidates for a two year postdoctoral fellowship (tenable from October 2015) and large scale digitisation grant.

  • RIA-RS International Cost-Share Programme

Applications are also being invited for this larger-scale scheme, run in collaboration with the Royal Society, for large scale grants to facilitate research in the natural sciences between collaborating teams based in Ireland and the UK.
